# Saved poses

> Save and re-apply named joint poses for a twin from Edit, Live, and Simulate mode

## What it is

Poses are named joint-angle snapshots you can save and re-apply later, from
the Poses section of a twin's right-hand panel (below Manual Control /
Joint Editing).

## Where it works

* **Edit mode**: save/edit/delete/apply poses against the twin's rest state.
* **Live mode**: save captures the twin's current live telemetry (not the
  rest state); applying a pose sends it to the real device over MQTT.
* **Simulate mode**: save captures the current simulated joint state;
  applying a pose drives the simulator over MQTT.

## Scopes

A pose can be saved at twin, environment, or asset scope, controlling
whether it's specific to this twin, this environment, or shared across every
instance of the asset.
